So pure, brillant idea, and with excellent execution. Definitely great work.
I also found that it hangs up after a command-p with no alternative than to force quit.
Otherwise, it is great. Write then fiddle with layout in another program. I can’t figure out how to chose another default font other than those provided. That would be a good addition. Other picture backgrounds of similar simplicity would also add to the experience, keeping it in b/w photography.
Very good start and hope you will keep as disciplined in augmenting it. First, take care of printing!

Just installed and I have to say it definitely experienced the efect of the “experience” especially the music. Looking forward to trying it tomorrow.
I have serious ADD and I hyper organize using all manner of software tools but still can;t write in much detail wiht any level of ease.

Plus one for the hanging on printing in 10.6.2. Other than this, it’s a fascinating app with a lot of potential.
I like this very much, usually I use WriteRoom for the same reasons – to get a chance to concentrate on my words and not be interrupted by Twitterpopups or any “you have mail” notifications.
I love the picture and the interface, the music I can do without; personally, it makes me nervous, I need complete silence to get “in the zone”.

No es cuestión de amor/odio, sino de concepto o “filosofía”. Omniwriter comulga con el “estilo Mac” y en esta plataforma ha encontrado el soporte ideal para esta aplicación. Su conversión a otros sistemas (que no ordenadores) imagino que dependerá de su éxito (que yo imagino notable).
Solo le encuentro dos fallos:
1.- Que no haya posibilidad de crear más cuadros de texto para escribir en distintas zonas de la misma pantalla
2.- No incluir el concepto “página” en lugar del scroll (o a la vez).
Pero en resumen: genial en su sencillez

solo fullscreen? va bien para concentrarse pero podria tener una opcion de ventana o algo asi. definitivamente le dare mas a este que al text edit pa escribir mis cosillas. Me he metido ahi a escribir en modo automatico, os dejo lo que me ha dao de si mi primera experiencia con el Omnwriter.

i love it! you are genius! the only question i have is what can we do with the file once saved? is it just for our pure writing pleasure or is there something else we can do with it once we are done writing? can we showcase it on our website visually? thanks for developing this beautiful software!
Please do not add extra fonts, windows, or any other tricks; keep it fullscreen. As I am 65, I would like another font amplification factor (+3 or/and +4), but I can do without it. Thank you for the brilliant idea.
Delighted with the concept, but do not own a Mac. Hope there is a PC version forthcoming.

I must agree with Enn Saar about having the option of larger fonts. On a larger screen, +2 is still too small for writing. In addition, I would like to see an option of line spacing. In a such a wonderful app, I was surprised to sense the only things cramped were the actual words. My mind, the music, and the image were all open. The words, however, were too constricted. Cheers.
Great! Add word save support and bold/italics and you’re done.
Can we ever expect a PC version?
Promising idea, and a great start. Add .docx file support, and a black background option (how did you miss that??

Seriously good idea, and nice execution, judging from the promo video. I, however, do not use Mac but rather Linux (and Windows when necessary). My requests and questions:
* Dark backgrounds, please
* A port, pretty please
* Does it support Asian typefaces?
