OmmWriter for iPad on iOS 6: File Management During Invisible Screen Bug Fix

Even though you can’t use OmmWriter to write on your iPad right now, you may have some files stored locally on your iPad that you’d like to access.

For example, if you just updated to iOS 6 and need to finish a document you started while on iOS 5, connecting to iTunes on your computer is one way to get hold of your files.

Connect your iPad to your computer, go to iTunes, select your iPad, select App at the top, and find the OmmWriter files you need and move them to your computer.

You should now be able to continue working on your document in OmmWriter on a computer, or edit your file in another text editor.

If you’re experiencing any unexpected issues when moving your files, fill in our contact form http://www.ommwriter.com/en/contact-and-feedback.html, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

  1. I found it rather easy to retrieve my Omm files from my iPad by the simple expedient of plugging it in to my Linux machine. I just browsed through the folders till I found the Omm folder.
Still, it would be good to get a fix for the issues, though I generally use a BT keyboard for text entry.
