WHAT ARE THE MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE iPAD VERSION AND DESKTOP VERSIONS?
The backgrounds and sounds have remained the same, but the major difference is the keyboard. We wanted to create a more enjoyable, comfortable experience while writing on the iPad. With OmmWriter for iPad, you can amplify the keyboard as well as adjust its position to your liking, rather than having to adjust your writing to it.
HOW CAN I AMPLIFY THE KEYBOARD?
It's just like amplifying a website or anything else.
CAN I USE AN EXTERNAL KEYBOARD WITH OMMWRITER FOR iPAD?
Yes! Simply plug it in and write away.
WHY DOESN'T THE KEYBOARD APPEAR IN THE VERTICAL POSITION?
We wanted to create a read mode where the writer and focus on the text they've just written. Although the keyboard does not appear, the text area is still editable.
HOW DO I HIDE THE KEYBOARD AND MAKE IT REAPPEAR?
On the bottom right-hand corner of the keyboard, you will see a button that allows you to hide the keyboard. In order to make it reappear again, simply press on the bottom inch of the screen.
WHAT ARE MY SAVING OPTIONS?
You are able to save OmmWriter as a .txt or export via email as a .pdf.
DOES OMMWRITER FOR iPAD HAVE A SPELL-CHECK?
Right now, OmmWriter for iPad does not offer a spell-check.
WHAT LANGUAGES DOES OMMWRITER SUPPORT?
Right now, OmmWriter only supports English, French, Spanish and German. We are working on adding more languages and will include these in future updates.
WHY IS OMMWRITER ONLY AVAILABLE FOR CERTAIN COUNTRIES IN THE APP STORE?
We currently only support a select number of characters and keyboards. We are working on including more for future updates.
DO YOU OFFER BOTH CHARACTER AND WORD COUNT?
Yes! If you go into the file management section, select the document information button "i".
WHAT ARE THE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS?
OmmWriter works with iPads that have version 3.2 or later. That is to say, it works with all iPads :)
HOW CAN I SHARE MY DOCUMENTS?
For now, you are able to email a document from within OmmWriter as a .txt or .pdf.
HOW CAN I CHANGE THE FORMAT OF THE KEYBOARD?
In the options menu, you will see a toggle bar which lets you select "QWERTY", "AZERTY" and "QWERTZ".
HOW CAN I MOVE THE KEYBOARD ON THE SCREEN?
On the top of the keyboard, you will see a small arrow. By pressing and holding that arrow, you are able to drag the keyboard to the position you desire.
